edit: It’d even result in many more people completing lower-level .moar files, which would also go nicely with the .moar file market (if it does get implemented).

And if you wanted to make it a really endgame thing, perhaps rare threads could be impossible to find wihout having equipped an item, received at the end of ep. 2.

Another benefit of having a Golden Spider or whatever as a requirement would be that speedrunners could simply not equip it and thus not risk getting screwed over.

Well, I could come up with the excuse that they’ve been avoiding the forum for a bit, but after you, the player, throughly t[h]rashed it, they feel the urge to come back again, either to rebumert themselves in the chaos, to find entertainment in the reconstruction, or figure it may be a bit of cleansing to the forum’s populace. The Spider idea is good, too.

This is a fantastic idea. Special items from all the NPCs as well as a use for the Special Items slot would be awesome. (And I sold the male reproductive organblaster on my Troll alt because it wasn’t a Special item at the time, and I needed the flezz.)
