Leaderboard E-Peen: Good or Bad?The problem with both the friendship and flamebate leaderboards were that they were ridiculously easy to game prior to the modifications. People will continue to try to game them as long as the totals seem doable.
The other leaderboards take a bit more time and planning to top. However I don’t really expect Paraone to quit playing so that other people have an easier time topping the most cred or to have any shot of getting the most forums pwned epeen. (view post) |

Because it seems likely that prior to accepting Forumwarz’s ad buy the business managers for Gaia might’ve reviewed Forumwarz to make sure it’s something they didn’t mind showing up on their site. If they felt it was inappropriate then they should’ve refused the ad buy.
And seriously blaming any trolls on Forumwarz seem unlikely as there are tons of communities that pretty much loathe Gaia and would see absolutely no problem in trolling it for the lulz. (view post) |

Algae-based Biodiesel seems to be the obvious answer as the US could likely make do with roughly 140 billion gallons of biodiesel a year. If current estimates concerning the use of algae-based biodiesel is that 15,000 square miles of algae ponds would be capable of producing the neede biombum to generate that much biodiesel.
Currently the technology isn’t quite there but it definitely seems like a solid long term solution. If you combine the use of biodiesel with existing hybrid technologies you can get pretty impressive MPG totals, for example the Dodge Intrepid ESX3, built under Clinton’s PNGV program – a full-size diesel electric hybrid sedan that averaged 72 mpg in mixed driving . Due to intellectual property law in Canada I believe Team Crotchzombie needs to be very careful concerning the use of original art. Unless the image is currently in the public domain, CZ has to be concerned with potential legal liability. This is why we need to sign a long disclaimer when we choose to upload an private avatar releasing CZ from legal liability and allowing them unlimited usage of the image.
It’s one thing to accept that individual users have the rights to the images they upload for private avatar use but Evil Trout and company would need to be certain that any images used for game content (and enemies are certainly game content) were completely legal.
The other possible option would be to buy packages of images from existing archives (Getty, etc) but doing so would almost certainly come with a rather hefty pricetag limiting the ability of CZ to use them. (view post) |

I honestly can spend less time messing around with the game on the weekend therfore I generally don’t vote much on others ideas. In contrast I can generally find more time during the week during a slow period at work to scan through a good selection of submissions.
I definitely expect that someone who has a bad day at work or in clbum will possibly take out their frustration on those poor submissions.
I honestly feel that if there is strategic voting going on it’s going to be done to pump up the votes of your friends. I don’t necessarily suspect clan voting because even submissions from people in organized clans get beat up but there might be IRL friends that talk offline and help each other out. (view post) |

Thief and DestroyerPeeping Tom and Destroyer are currently pretty useless.
Destroyer has the worst cost/benefit ratio of the scoop affecting cards- 4 scoops to nuke 1 of someone else. In comparison thief gives a net benefit of 2- +1 for you in your choice and -1 for your competitor and of course modest improvement allows you to make late min scoop runs.
Peeping Tom offers virtual no benefit in comparison to it’s costs and seems mainly used to annoy other players rather than offering any real tactical benefit.
If CZ wanted to upgrade the utility of Destroyer I’d suggest having it nuke 2 scoops of the players choice and ignore the effect of shields. That way you can effectively use it to punch through the defenses of someone doing a min scoop shield combo. (view post) |
