Forum Thread #: A SRS Thread About an Ineffective Fix. SRSLY.Honestly without knowing the impact rerolling threads was having on the server I can’t tell whether this suggestion is good or bad. It definitely seems that rerolling was contributing to site-wide performance issues but that impact was almost certainly less than the effect that INCIT was having.
If re-rolling is a bad thing and the 30 minute time period is intolerable to most players then perhaps a more frequent cycling on the totals might work such as a reroll ever 10 minutes.
Another option would be to auto-increment the thread count by 1 every 30 minutes until it hits maximum and the resets to minimum thread count so that every player would be aware of when a particular forum would be at maximum and minimum thread lengths. (view post) |

A very SERIOUS discussion about Antifreeze Scoops. Seriously.Some of the gamblebot changes seem pretty solid (6-5 payout on blackjack, incorporating splits, going with multiple decks) others are a bit over the top (75% return on pushes is brutal). I realize there is a need to reduce the easy flow of blackjack flezz for the composition players but I wonder if this will hurt the newbie players trying to gamble in order to get a few more smileprins to beat a tough forum more than it would hurt someone like summergirl.
Overall though I’m pretty happy with most of the suggestions being put forth, after all you can always go ahead and revise them again if they end up being too draconian. (view post) |

I concur with this post. Remove AF from blackjack and force people to hit guess my number. Don’t limit the number of wins you can possible have though because a cap would only discourage utterly self-destructive play.

Is popularity good even if it's for bad things?**** dude this is getting tiresome. Being competitive is fine but relentless e-peen whoring does not earn you some sort of golden ticket into the center of coolness and enlightenment. If it’s your time to get the flamebate epeen then fine but basically it seems that TSB is going to spam the **** out of any thread that seems like a blatant scream for flamebate posters.
If you really want more epeen so badly I suggest donating a bit more money so you can get BFF II and III and/or just taking your time and post interesting thought provoking threads. It seems that if you could focus on quality instead of quantity your end result would be much more desireable.

Honestly how many people are really grinding meme at 14 threads x4 each day? Even counting alts for some people it really doesn’t seem like more than 50-100 accounts that are really hammering memebusters.
Further the time limit will discourage people from saving up 12 visits in order to do 12x meme as it seems virtually impossible to expend 12 visits on meme in a 30 minute period. However based on being able to run it 10 times with 2 characters this morning I’d say 4-8 runs seems pretty doable for most players. Troll will probably be sucking it up but what else is new…
If anything this will likely encourage most of the cred leaders to move back to PP unless they are willing to camp until 14 thread meme loads. Yeah that means some people will lose ground to others but cie la vie. (view post) |

This lag is getting unbearableIt seems to go in 3-5 minute waves so I’d bumume that Incit is causing a good deal of the lag particularly when it’s presenting submissions and tallying votes.
Basically at this point in time I’ve quit even trying to speedrun most forums as it’s entirely possible you will get a few timeouts in any long forum run. (view post) |

However that option was used in the past and apparently people loathed the idea. Of course that would only shift people from doing meme x4 back to doing PP x4 because the average credit gain would be better on PP. (view post) |
