Now, keep in mind that I have yet to actually play a Troll. However, from what I understand of the clbum description, your specialty lies in the ability to take on tougher forums than the other clbumes earlier, and actually survive. This theoretically allows for faster completion of Episode 1, but offers practically no benefit in the End Game. However, when Episode 2 rolls around…. (view post) |

Ravit is. . . (Non-Game Spoiler)Ravit “Blacksnake” Nordstrom III is. . . Billy Van, a blackface comedian from 1900! I came across the lithograph image from the Blackface entry in Wikipedia, and was struck by the likeness. I compared, and sure enough I found the source of Ravit!

So let me tell you about my sonMy oldest was a real hoot when it came to breasts. When he was just an infant, he had a habit whenever any girl was holding him. If the girl stopped paying enough attention on him, he’d pull out her shirt top and peer down it.
We have a friend who actually wears F cups (unfortunately this is due to general overweightness, not an epic chest). When my son would be held by her, he would always sigh and go to sleep resting against them. We started calling her “Mattress”. (view post) |

Escher is very quick to thank the rest of us for our hard work, but Escher has put in as much or more work than any of us into taking the raw data and both working out the formulas as well as putting our findings into easy to read charts. She of the great cleavage stepped up to lead this project at the very beginning, and has organized and orchestrated the team that has been working on our stat findings. (view post) |

I’ve suggested that exact idea before, and had a couple of people who posted that they liked it, but so far no word from the devs on their opinion on it. (view post) |

Sick voting systemI don’t think there’s a problem with the up and down voting, it’s the systematic removal at -5. Removing the downvote option would also disable the systematic removal, so why not just disable the removal instead of both downvoting and removal? (view post) |

I’ve actually have a log that shows the rounding taking place (although it was Escher who had to correct my initial theory on what was happening). Who’s running the research project at FoL? We might be interested in sharing our research data in the future. (view post) |

I am so disappointed in how badly my forumbuildr submissions are doing...You know it’s sad when I get very excited, not because my idea has a high score (because it isn’t even a 5), but because I’m getting so many votes total on my idea. Most of my ideas get -5 withing 10-15 votes, and right now I have my idea with a total of over 100 votes. (view post) |

The -5 system: A mathematical considerationVelveteen Posted:
She’s not saying that the voting is random, but rather the order of votes. If an idea, over the course of 500 votes, is destined to receive 100 upvotes, then there is only a 1.5% chance that it’ll survive the first few votes to reach it’s full potential.
These numbers are arbitrary of course. To summarize, if an idea is good enough to actually be selected for the next forum, it still has only a 1.5% chance of surviving the first few votes. This is what seems to be annoying the forumbuildr population at the moment. (view post) |

The -5 system: A mathematical considerationI originally submitted this idea in the “How we plan to improve ForumBuildr!” thread, but it didn’t even receive one comment.
Instead of having the idea removed in it’s entirety when it hits -5, how about we move it to a “Recycle Bin” of some sort. Don’t allow -5 ideas to be voted on by the general public, but anyone who wants may wade into the recycle bin to review downvoted ideas. If they like an idea, they can Upvote it (there will be no downvote option). After the downvoted idea receives a threshold amount of Upvotes, it is returned to the general public voting again.
Basically, it preserves the attempt to keep the public from being swamped with idea after idea after idea, but allows for a recovery mechanism to counter chronic down-voters and bad luck. (view post) |
