Wow, I really didn’t expect to see that one before any of the other remaining ones. You know, I’m starting to think that having an alt per Forum (I’m guessing) really helps spading.

Slowly working away at Belgium on an alt (as you know)... seems sometimes like there’s a trend to gradually decreasing drop rates. I was getting 5%+ rates, but since I last dumped data off to Dunatis I’ve not seen more than 3% on any luck value (and no drops at all on the value that was previously getting the most).

Beginning to think this file has some special “annoy the spaders” programming attached, to make drop rates inversely proportional to your progress Log in to see images!

I’ve noticed variation of drop rates of pieces at certain Luck, if it can be believed. It might be worth investigating if you have free time Malaise.

Duke Nukem gives me +11 Luck over when I used useless program, and I upped the Luck to focus on getting 5000 upvotes, allmypbumwords and Bonsai Buddy, all of which I noticed appear to drop far more frequently at a slightly elevated level of Luck within my current range.

I’ve been grinding AWMIB more or for more or less 3-5 months straight in the pursuit of quadruple amputee. About three weeks ago, I permanently shifted to Duke Nukem to get the three previously mentioned files, expecting I’d get a decrease in quadruple amputee files. While this is true now, I initially saw a surge in extracts, and the current decrease isn’t for the reasons I expected – for the first two months of grinding, the limiting piece in the qA set has always been Piece #4. Earlier, when I was still playing Episode III and grinding as only a way to level up (back in January), the limiting pieces were #1 and #5. My Luck was a lot higher back then, I was using some random program file I forgot, but now that I’m using Nukem it’s back to #1 and #5 as the limiting pieces, with more favour toward #5,

Quite literally, my spread for the pieces would be:

#1: 13+

#2: 19+

#3: 22+

#4: 0

#5: 9

Now, rename 5-4, 4-1 and 1-5, and you get my current distribution of pieces. It can’t be a statistical quirk, because this phenomenon has been holding out for months, and during the Luck transition I was consistently extracting 3-5 qA files per day. This would suggest that my stockpile of #1 and #5 pieces were used up with the relative increase in #4, and levelled off once the distribution adjusted to the Luck shift.
