I seem to remember an issue like that (one piece being particularly difficult to find) back during Ep3 testing. The reason, as explained to me by ET, and if I’m remembering the correct issue (which I quite likely may not be), is that the randomization algorithm is partially based on the number of active players at the time of your pwning. Since there were very few active players in the test environment, it was biasing towards some numbers. ET tweaked the code to not be as dependent on it, but if you’re doing most of your pwning at the same time, mterek, try shifting that time by several hours and see if your drop numbers change. |

mterek, I’ve noticed this with that same file too but regardless of my luck (or my time of day) it is always piece #1 that lags for me. I have pretty much always been between 1 and 40 for luck though. Maybe I’ll use a hacker there for a month or so and see the results.
Actually now that I think about it, I have also found that piece #2 of Habanero bumcrack badly lags over several alts at wildly different luck levels and in different forums.
Piece #1 29 Piece #2 17 Piece #3 22 Piece #4 31 Piece #5 23

That said, the actual Japanese rules don’t use syllables, they use mora, and that makes some syllables worth more towards the 5/7/5 count than others. |
