Strategies & Tips

Seeing as you cannot upgrade Processing Power:

  • Make sure to Flezz grind every once in a while to get new Hardware.
  • Get a graphics card before taking on level 5-6 forums, and just upgrade from there.
  • Check daily for Glbumes in The Ppwn Shoppe and Kyoubai, as Hackers have no other source for them.
  • Boosting your Processing Power with .moar files will let you pwn forums without using consumables.

Barring Permanoobs and Re-Res, Hackers have some of the weakest attacks in the game, so:

  • Upgrade your Hardware as much as your Flezz stash allows.
  • Collect .moar files to further boost your stats.
  • Buff your Offense statistic after obtaining all your Haxx and meeting haxlrose.
  • Use your upgrade points to get Egomania upgrades; this upgrades your health so that you can attack more without being killed.
  • Check the Refresh rates and use moves in a pattern so that you never get caught short.

As far as secondary stats go:

  • Later in the game, make sure to get Upkeep to at least 7.
  • You have the most equipment of any clbum in the game, so repairs will be a pain in your Flezz if you don't.
  • If you're planning on buying Episode 3, try to keep your alignment good. You'll get the Narcissism-based Good Samaritan attack, granting the Hacker all 5 attack attributes.
  • If you notice any of your attributes not totaling what you think they should after equip/unequip things or re-spec, see http://www.forumwarz.com/help/me/59-one-of-my-stats-is-negative-how-can-i-fix-it ! This is a known hacker bug, and only seems to affect them.

To maximize deliveries:

  • You can equip multiples of any piece of Hardware, so buy 4 of one of the boxes (Homeless Man's Cardboard, Black, Blue, or Polka Dot, as your Flezz allows) and equip them all before you log off. (How about +40 luck from 4 Polka Dots?)
  • The next morning, the mbumive luck bonuses will flood your account.
  • This set may also be used to fish for .moar files from lower-level forums.
  • To further increase your deliveries, up your charisma with .moar files, glbumes, and special items.

Dictionary Definition of Hackers

A person (usually possessing thorough knowledge in no single field), who is talented at devising superficial "fixes," which are nothing more than auxiliary workarounds for problems which eventually have to be solved "correctly" by a "trained professional." Hackers are self-motivated, and learn through experimentation and persistence, as opposed to through "traditional" means. Computer hackers do not completely fit this definition. Due to the high artificiality of computer technology itself, computer hackers must be highly knowledgeable before they can implement their first successful "hack." For them, "hacks" are the product of brilliant insight and thorough investigation, rather than the talent and natural law that go with hacking in more humanity-driven fields, such as entertainment or sports.
