Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the games you can play with Gamble Bot 3000. It is a game of skill and knowing the odds - the aim is to get as close as possible to 21 without going over (busting). A player can gamble up to 25000 Flezz per game - two successful bets of 10000 Flezz or more will earn the player 1 Antifreeze Scoop (capped at 10 scoops per day).
The player is dealt 2 cards, and the dealer 1. The player then has the choice to "Hit" to take another card, "Stand" to not take another card, or "Double Down" to double their bet and receive one (and only one) more card.
If you choose to stand, or double down and don't go bust (have 22 or more, an instant loss), Gamble Bot 3000 will then add to his cards. As the dealer, Gamble Bot 3000 must hit on any total below 17 and on any soft total of 17. If Gamble Bot 3000 finishes with a lower total than you finish with, or goes bust, you win. If Gamble Bot 3000's total beats your total, you lose.
If you draw an Ace and a 10 (10, Jack, Queen, King) with your first two cards, you have scored a Blackjack, and win 1.2 times your bet (so if you gambled 100 Flezz, you will win 120).
If you receive more than one Ace, you can count either or both as 1 or 11. So if you draw an Ace, an Ace, and a 6, you either have a total of 8, 18, or 28 (bust). This also applies to when Gamble Bot 3000 draws multiple Aces.
Below is a simplified strategy chart for single-deck blackjack. A "hard" total is one without an Ace (which can be worth 1 or 11). Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) are all worth 10. The abbreviations are Hit (H), Stand (S), Double Down else hit (D), and Double Down else stand (Ds).
- Note: Even with the best possible strategy Gamble-Bot 3000 has the advantage over the player. It is therefore not advisable to play Blackjack for more than your daily antifreeze needs.
