The Xbox version had no Japanese Dub and that ruined the feeling for me.

Didn’t bother me all too much, since I haven’t heard anything yet from Shenmue when I played it for the XBox the first time.

That brings me to another Subject, the Voice Overs in the American Version (played the Japanese version with English subtitles years later) are horrible, but that’s just one of the many things that makes the game’s charm.

Since I don’t know Japanese, I can’t really judge the quality of the Voice Overs of the japanese version.
