[Good Omens]

Level 69 Troll

Trust me. I know edgy!

An Alan Thicke true celebrity story.

When I was in university I worked security at a hotel in Edmonton. When Wayne Gretzky got married he stayed at the Four Seasons but his brothers and many of his showbiz pals stayed at my hotel. Including Alan Thicke. Now they required that we put all sorts of security protocols in place to make sure that these glitterati not be disturbed by common yokels including giving them every room on the keyed off top floor of the hotel. The top floor also had a hospitality suite.

Despite this, one night Gretzky and his family and friends – and Alan Thicke – were hanging around drinking in the lobby lounge and were of course being pestered by the unwashed mbumes. Thicke came over and asked me what could be done to stop this unacceptable situation of being publicly gawked at by people in a public place. I suggested that they move upstairs to the secure lounge that they had insisted we prepare for them. He said that was ok for the drinks but they wanted food too. The kitchen was just closing but I told him I’d see what could be done. It being Edmonton and there being hockey players involved, much could be done. The chefs stayed late and prepared hundreds of dollars worth of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and sent them all up with room service, complimentary. When the carts of food were delivered and the room service guy said they were on the house, Alan Thicke thanked him and gave him a tip. One $2 bill (yes this was back when there were $2 bills).

SO NO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU THICKE! YOU PENNY-PINCHING SON OF A ****!
