Depends on whether the question is P(bacon or (hamburger and mushrooms)) or P((bacon or hamburger) and mushrooms)
We can see from the picture that bacon and hamburger are on the same dice, and I’m going to bumume each thing is only one side of one dice (so no repeats on the sides we can’t see).
First option – the probability of getting either bacon-and-whatever or (hamburger and mushrooms) will be 1/6 + (1/6 * 1/6) = 7/36 Second option – the probability of getting either bacon or hamburger, and mushrooms will be 2/6 * 1/6 = 2/36 ——— Easy way to see this is right – consider all the possible pizzas; 36 of them, one for each combination of the 6 sides of 1 dice with the 6 sides of the other. 6 of them will have bacon, and 1 will have hamburger and mushrooms, so 7/36 for that way of reading it. 1 will have bacon and mushrooms, 1 will have hamburger and mushrooms, so 2/36 for the other interpretation. |
