Okay, 400 words.

First of all, I’ve already [got a headstart on the competition, so I think that judging would be fun, as I’ve got something to compare entries with. Also, my lack of contest holding experience means that I have no pre-conceived notions about contests, and am therefore more likely to deliver an offbeat and interesting experience. I’ve got a number of ideas kicking around for little side quests and bonuses, and perhaps some challenges. Finally (and this is perhaps the most persuasive argument of all) I am an Australian, and I also used to be a drill sergeant in the Air Cadets. So my voice is more suited for bellowing out across a parade ground than singing. That means that if I don’t judge, whoever the poor soul is that gets chosen will have to listen to my ‘melodious’ voice once I send in the recording. Ask yourself, do you want that person to be you? Well, do you?
