Yes, it is. Graphics become obsolete very fast, good writing never gets old. And Planescape is not only very well written, it’s thought-provoking.

Hm, I’ve played the first one for 2-3 hours but I’m not a fan of side-scrollers, so I lost interest. It was extremly well done though.
