Always wondered about triskaidekaphobia.. does it really all stem from Judas being the 13th to sit at the last supper and/or Loki being the 13th God of the Norse pantheon?

Superstitions are weird… breaking mirrors, black cats, lucky clover, walking under ladders, rabbit’s feet, opening umbrellas inside, the number 7, the entirety of astrology, none of it really makes any sense, but there it is.

Would be interesting to know where they started though. Same goes for a lot of common idioms – I’m curious who the first person to say each of those odd little phrases was.
