smells like teen spirit was just kurt cobain trying to sound like the pixies, as nirvana started as a pixies cover band and they never lost the sound. they also intended the main riff of the song to sound like the one from bostons “more than a feeling”

the rest of “nirvanas good songs” are covers or copies of other peoples work, either that or they were krist novoselic, kurt cobain, and dave grohl randomly beating instruments and making grunting and screeching noises while saying “artsy and abstract” meaningless nonsense, most of which were copies of songs fang and flipper did back in the 80’s.
