My semi-solution to this is to have the Vanilla page in a separate window, behind my main window and automatically refreshing. Then position the windows so that just enough of the Vanilla page is showing at one side of the screen for me to see if I’ve dropped down to 3 (since your row is highlighted you just need to see the column of numbers, not the bumociated usernames).

So long as I glance over at the right-hand edge of the screen every so often, I can do whatever I want in the main window without missing it when a forum changes hands.
