You know Russian Roulette? the game where you put one bullet in a revolver, spin the cylinder, point it at your head and pull the trigger.

I propose play this game in thread form.

The game is simple: Post in the thread and be banned. You won’t know how long you’ll be banned for. Maybe it’ll be no ban, maybe it’ll be a long one. Currently I have it set to community ban for 0-15 minutes for testing. If it goes live I’ll increase it to raise the stakes.

How this works is I have made a clientside program that will, every 5 minutes, parse the thread, check for new posts, then ban the new posts for the random time. It will generate a log for me listing how long each ban is for posterity.

So far that’s all I want it to do, however if it is a success and not shut down by admins, I can make it increase the maximum ban time based on how many pages and posts are in the thread…

So everyone, are you interested?

And CZ, is this a terrible idea or can I forge ahead with community approval?
