Did Chawin really deserve a permaban though? I’ve yet to see what he actually did that was so very wrong. From here, it looks like it was pretty much entirely unjustified – he gets tempbanned for this cheese thing, complains about it here, then gets perma’d by the same mod he was complaining against. Add in the comments about “waiting for a reason” and it looks a lot like abuse of mod powers.

On the other hand, bumuming for a moment that you aren’t a vindictive bumhole and/or an abusive drunk, there must be something I’m not seeing. If there’s additional reasoning behind the ban than the post quoted as the ban reason, then I’d like to see it so that I can know I’m not liable to get booted out whenever I have something to complain about.

That kind of thing’s important to me… I don’t like the idea of getting kicked out of places so if that seemed likely I’d probably leave before anyone had that chance.
