There was this one time I made a pizza for in a “Food technology” clbum at school (read: cooking, but part of the D&T department), so I found a recipe on the internets and did what it said… more or less. It was a US-oriented recipe and I’m in the UK, so some stuff on the list doesn’t really exist here.

Anyway, I think the main problem was the size – it said a medium crust from some stateside brand of pre-made pizza crust, I just used one from here. Turns out they’re probably somewhat bigger in the US. Didn’t realise until later though so I carried on. Pizza had minced beef and sausage and cheese and stuff, and because the crust was smaller the quantities were a bit off and there was more topping than there was pizza-top.

End result, because I didn’t want to waste the meat I had, was a pizza with a large pile of mince on top. Looked ridiculous but the cheese just about managed to glue it down, and it was pretty ****ing epic to eat.

So that’s my pizza story, I don’t have pics of that. But we did have pizza tonight, coincidentally enough, so if I can secure a leftover slice of that I may well post a picture of it here.
