i like to describe myself as somewhat liberal, and had in the past pbumionately stated my opposition to the death penalty, but as my eyes moved across this thread and my index finger rushed to scroll down the page I realized that sometimes it can be justified. I’d never felt so close to the grieving families who only wanted justice for their now deceased relative. Never felt so empathetic, never sympathized so much with their cause. In essence, I understood their suffering.
