I’m sure many here have played Nethack (those who haven’t, download it now, it’s free), and anyone who has probably has experienced a very interesting game every once in a while. So please share some interesting moments.

Tonight I decided to play it, and resumed a game from awhile ago, in which I was a monk. I was in Minetown, and for some reason I couldn’t get through a pbumage to the next area. So I decided to wander around Minetown and see what happens. The random number god seemed to hate me more than usual, because panthers, a ball of light that blinded me, which caused me to kill a nearby halfling by mistake, killer hornets, soldier ants, and a unicorn were spawned randomly in the town. I activated explorer mode when I was leaving, just to see what it did, and was able to get through the pbumage and into the next area. In the next area I slaughtered gnomes, got polymorphed into an elf, ended up being seduced by a nymph, and got stuck in a spike pit, crawled out, and fell into a regular one right next to it. All was fine until I crawled into a three room corridor and picked up a cursed rock I couldn’t drop. So I was stuck there, tried to dig my way out, but that only caused a rock to fall from the ceiling into the pit I dug, then prayed, which did nothing. Then I was constantly attacked by gnomes, elves, and wererats (which I transformed into several times afterwards). Eventually I just let myself die.
