The other point I think people is missing is that shock is not only subjective to the person but also to the topic being discussed. If I make a thread called “postt urr deadd loclcattss dllolcatss r stupidd” no one is gonna get shocked of seeing dead kittens in that thread, they knew what it was about from the title, but if anyone else goes “CATURDAY GIVE ME SOME CATS” and I post dead cats, some people might get offended.

In short: it’s very unlikely that a line will be defined and the only safe way to stop all the “My ban was bull**** that is not shock” drama was to allow shock.
