I realize I can hide them but most of the images embedded on the site are hilarious and why should I have to miss them just because some bumhole wants to post (insert your favorite shock picture name here) in a thread about kittens?

I can see how there were some unintended consequences in making RP “anything goes,” but the ridiculous amount of time and energy spent debating whether something is shock or not had just become untenable.

Simply redefine the “shock posting” rules, now that we have our comm bans, to limit ANYTHING which could be identified by a reasonable person as “offensive” to being linked to rather than embedded. That way there are no surprises for people. And by “reasonable” I mean p much any level-headed person, probably someone who doesn’t play this game at all; you guys can use your judgment to determine what a reasonable person might say. It might involve some RP on your parts, but I think you guys can do it. I believe in you.

Or you could take the above a step further and just declare no more NSFW content is to be embedded anywhere, or else comm bans will be issued. It’d make the mods’ jobs easier, it’d make the boards less disgusting, and p much everyone knows what’s SFW and NSFW so there’d be very little arguing about it from the players. Personally I don’t think it’s necessary, but if it’s a choice between a goatse free-for-all (actually goatse no longer frightens me but I’m using its name because everyone and their mother knows what it is) and a kid-safe forum, I’d choose the clean one. Because I still want to be able to view the funny pics people post on the forums 80% of the time. As I stated somewhere else previously, if I want to see shock pics I know where to go to see them, and the same goes for porn, so I don’t really need to see it here.
