The strangest thing ive read in this thread is that some people have never been on a forum that has allowed the users an input on rules, every forum i have been an active member of (apart from flamebate untill 2 months ago apprently) has had a group of members sort of a “council group” if you like, that put ideas forward for rules improvments on the site and so on.

the idea is great, i saw someone mention maybe the group could change around every while or so, i think that could be a good idea giving everyone a chance to give their views on rules and so on.

i would also suggest leaving a sticky thread in GD so that people may post things on which they would like discussed.

infact any smart troll would jump at the chance to do this as they could try and get some rules eased up on and so on if you take into consideration that we can use the rules to troll new members into get banned for a day or two just for fun we agree rules are needed in some places, if there were no rules then even the trolls would lose out.
