You become immortal, but this doesn’t stop you from getting hit by a bus and going into a coma that lasts for 500 years. When they finally bring you out of it, your hospital bill is so huge you decide to kill yourself to avoid having to pay it, only to learn that modern medical science has made it impossible for anyone to ever die and you’re stuck with that bill.
