“Hi Sora!” they said.

Sora whispered to them, not wanting to wake his mother up, “Come on, I just heard about this great place!”

“Sora,” Kairi said in a slightly irritated tone. “I’m kinda in the middle of a bath.”

“And it’s time for yours,” said the voice of Aerith, who grabbed her son’s head in her mouth before he could escape and began to groom him as well, much to his embarrbumment as he said, “Mom! Mom, you’re messing up my mane.”

Aerith just gave him a motherly smile as Sora leapt out of her arms and landed in front of her, saying, “Ok, ok, I’m clean, can we go now?!”

Aqua was then grooming Riku, who said, “So where we going? It better not be anyplace stupid.”

“No!” Sora said. “It’s REALLY cool…”

“So where is this ‘really cool’ place?” Aerith asked with a raised brow and her head resting on her paws.

Sora quickly came up with an excuse, saying, “Oh, uh… the waterhole.”

“The waterhole?” Riku said in disbelief as Aqua continued to groom him. “What’s so great about the waterhole?”

“I’ll show you guys when we get there…” Sora said to him and Kairi, gritting his teeth.

“Oh…” they said, getting the message.

“Mom, can we go with Sora?” Kairi asked as she and Riku looked at her.

“Hmm…” Aqua said teasingly. “What do you think, Aerith?”

“Well…” Aerith said, making all three cubs say, baring their teeth in hopeful smiles, “Please…?”

“It’s alright with me,” Aerith said nicely.

The three cubs cheered, saying, “Yeah! Alright! Let’s go!”

But their excitement was easily dashed as Leon woke up and said, “As long as Donald goes with you.”

They stopped in their tracks as Sora said to Riku and Kairi, “No! Not Donald…”

As they ventured towards the waterhole, Donald, who lazily flew above them, “Step lively! The sooner we get to the waterhole the sooner we can leave.”

Below them, Riku asked, “So where we really going…?”

“An elephant graveyard,” Sora whispered, making Riku and Kairi say , “WOW!” earning them a shush from Sora who whispered, “Donald!”

“Oh, right!” Riku whispered.

“So, how’re we gonna ditch the dodo bird?” Kairi asked, but their conversation was interrupted as Donald flew down to them, saying, “Oh just look at you two, Sora and Kairi, a pair of little seedlings of romance blossoming in the savannah, your parents will be thrilled! What with your being… betrothed an’ all…”

“Being what?” Sora asked, the other two of equal confusion.

“Betrothed! Intended! Affianced!” Donald said, trying to give them the idea.

They just looked at each other until Kairi said, “Meaning…?”

“One day, Kairi, you and Sora are going to be married!” Donald said proudly.

“Yuck!” Sora said with his tongue out.

“Gross!” Riku said, wrinkling his nose.

“Ew!” Kairi said, shaking her head.

“He can’t marry her, she’s my sister!” Riku said with Sora adding, “My best friend’s sister!” and Kairi ending it by saying, “Yeah, it would be so weird!”

“Well, sorry to burst your bubble,” Donald said, “but you two turtledoves have no choice!”

He went on, not noticing Riku mock him by mouthing, “blah blah blah…” as Donald said, “I’ts a tradition going back generations!”

“Well, when I’M king, that’ll be the first thing to go,” Sora said with a wink to his friends.

“Not so long as I’m around,” Donald said.

“Well, in that case you’re fired,” Sora said with a smile and narrowed eyes.

“Hmm, nice try,” Donald said as he flicked Sora in the nose with his forefeather, “But only the king can do that.”

“Well, he IS the future king,” Kairi said.

“Yeah!” Sora said. He then gave Donald a slight push, saying, “So you have to do whatever I tell you!”

“Not yet I do!” Donald said grumpily. “And with an attitude like that I’m afraid you’re shaping up to be a pretty pathetic king indeed!”

“Hmph! Not the way I see it…” Sora said with a sneaky look.

Sora: I’m gonna be a mighty king… and you will be in chains!

Donald: Well, I’ve never seen such a mighty king with tiny little fangs…

Riku: He will be the turning point!

Kairi: The greatest king of all!

Sora: I’m brushing up on looking down… And sharpening my claw!

Donald: Thus far a rather uninspiring thing.

Sora: Oh I just can’t WAIT to be king!!!

“You’ve rather a long way to go, young master, but if you think-”Donald tried to say but was interrupted.

Sora Riku and Kairi are making faces at Donald, who’s looking at Sora): No one saying “Do this!”

“Now when I said that-” Donald tried to say before turning his attention to Kairi, who put on a straight yet arrogant look.

Kairi (Sora and Riku are making faces at Donald, who’s looking at Kairi: No one saying “Be there…”

“What I meant was-” Donald tried to say before turning to Riku, who had a sneaky look.

Riku(Kairi and Sora make faces at Donald who’s looking at Riku: No one saying “Stop that!”

“What you must understand-” Donald said but turned his attention to Kairi and Sora and saw that they were both making faces at him.

Sora, Riku, and Kairi(run off): No one saying “See here!”

“No see here!” Donald shouted before being pushed into the water as he noticed the cubs run by, riding ostriches.

Sora: Free to run around all day!

Donald took flight, muttering disapprovingly, “Well, that’s definitely out…”

Sora, Riku, and Kairi: Free to do it our own way!

Donald(catches up but crashes into a rhino’s rear):I think it’s time that you and I arranged a heart-to-heart!

Sora: Kings don’t need advice from little hornbills for a start!

Donald(lands on a floating log): If this is where the monarchy is headed, count me out! Out of service, out of Africa, I wouldn’t hang about! Augh! This child is getting wildly out of wing!

Sora: Oh I just can’t WAIT to be king!!!

Sora: Everybody look left! Everybody look right! Everywhere you look I’m… standing in the spotlight!

Animals: He’ll raise the kingdom above all the murk! As surely as birds fly and hunters lurk! It’s gonna be King Sora’s finest work!

Sora, Riku, Kairi, the animals: Oh I just can’t wait to be king, oh I just can’t wait to be king! Oh I just can’t wait… to be king!!!

Somehow, Donald ended up with a rhino sitting on him.

“I beg your pardon madam, but, GET OFF!” he shouted in a muffled voice from beneath the rhino. “Sora? Riku? Kairi!”
