It might be worth quantifying how difficult these challenges are.

Throughout the game you get a total of 175 upgrade points, which is enough for around +60 stat points in either offense or defense + however much ego you decide.

Looking at each item slot in turn, at the item which gives the largest amount of offense, defense and ego in terms of upgrade points worth (rough estimate for ego since it scales, also I’ve ignored the other stats for this calculation since they don’t directly affect your ability to complete forums);

– Book; +8 offense, +8 defense = 48 upgrade points

– Computer; +50 ego = 3 upgrade points

– Dogreat timesent; +7 offense, +7 defense = 42 upgrade points

– Music; +30 offense, +30 defense = 180 upgrade points

– Picture; +7 offense, +7 defense, +170 ego = 48 upgrade points

– Program; +6 offense, +6 defense, +130 ego = 42 upgrade points

– Special item; +23 offense, +33 defense, +48 ego = 171 upgrade points

– Surgical procedure; +50 ego = 3 upgrade points

– Video; +7 offense, +7 defense = 42 upgrade points

So for equipment accessible by a re-re, this is the equivalent of 579 upgrade points or thereabouts, and +88 offense, +98 defense, +448 ego.

If you pick a clbum, you have access to additional stats through the 4 starter packs you can use;

32 defense for a Troll

4 charisma, 16 offense, 12 defense for an Emo

20 charisma, 4 offense for a Camwhore

4 luck for a Permanoob

8 luck, 40 ego for a Hacker

+ the additional clbum specific items / glbumes if you’re not an Emo, and of course the clbum specific attacks

I think a no equipment challenge is quite possible for a re-re, but you’re going to be grinding for flezz (with no charisma upgrades) to buy your way through most of the ep2 forums unless you pick a clbum. Likely would take months to complete
