This. Earth day is just another brief observance, like Black History Month, Puerto Rican Day, or Asian Heritage Hour, that allows people to feel better about a systemic imbalance by briefly pretending to “do their part” against it. I behave with reasonable eco-awareness yearlong, I feel no need to take part in “Pat Yourself On The Back for Recycling Day.”
