Well, I have had a mouse that was hunted and killed by a cat of mine waiting for me right on the front doorstep, cut cleanly down the middle with it’s head cut in half (it looked like a knife cut), as a gift. Not as horror inducing as your stuff, but enough to make me lose my appetite. Also lately when my snake eats the rats that he kills they start bleeding from the mouth as they suffocate to death, which is weird because that never used to happen…

Edit: also they are usually all white and the blood shows up easily on their fur.
