Okay while trolling I had an idea. This site is full of internet people, and by trade, they are more oft to believe things than the day walkers. Just look at the game itself, in a not-spoiled not-named point, you learn that a not-named event, was just rumor. Nerveless with the recent chan advertisements we will be getting many new members, with two groups of special importance. The most important is the /x/ posters, who being enticed and excited by the paranormal, love thinking that a internet machine can tell them the future. The other is the #fortune posters, and for those who don’t know what that means Ill over simplify it, you could post that and get your ‘fortune’. Minus the cookie. In a game starving for new content, and one with new player input, we have an opening for some useless mildly entertaining worthless time wasters. So I present to you, the concept of, a fully automated, Tarot Card Bot.

The cards can be found public domain, but a good deck is even more important. Because of, what some would call stupid image regulations, I cannot show you the whole deck. It is important to note that, tarot deck sized vary, depending on if your a godless Frenchman or a teenager in a magic shop. Here there are two roots to go. Use a modern, public domain deck, or make a ForumWarz themed deck. I demo’d the latter using some official art work for the game, I do not know how licensing of these images works, but if this idea would be implemented in the game Trout would deal with that. Each card needs to have a version of itself upside down. So the number of cards we will have would be:

Full Deck = X Face Cards + X Face Cards Flipped + 1 Card Backing

Programming may seem difficult, but a free Java based tarot thing is there. I’m sure it could be, with no promised lack of difficulty, could be adapted. Or not.

Now the motivation behind this idea does not lie in the new members, it stems from the concept of doing things for the hell of it. Some would find it fun, some would not, still it would be sorta cool to have something to do in the minutes before turn over, or just to kill time while bull****ting in IDC. Or its a dumb idea. Just putting it out there.
