I don’t think it has anything to do with desensitized anything. There really is an age gap after a certain point. Some rabid toddler daring his buddy to stare or watch or whatever is going to work because omg, I will suck a mountain goat if it makes me seem like one of the unique and beautiful snowflakes in the in crowd.
