For several years, the feds dumped the “excess” social security taxes into the budget to make it look balanced. But that was accounting fiction at best, and lying at worst. Counting future liabilities as part of the current budget would land them in jail were they not part of the federal government.

Having said that, Bush’s war on individual rights plus the federal reserve’s currency inflation has destroyed the economy. He’s nearly as bad as Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR.

I wasn’t aware of that! Thanks. Also, I’ve read some analyses that suggest the economic problems are due to lack of liquid bumets in large corps.
