leave a laser printer in storage for a couple years and it’ll fire right back up. leave an inkjet for a month and it’ll be clogged and useless.

Zactly. That laser printer in my living room was rescued from the dumpyard because it was sucking in like 20 pages at a time (bad separation pad and roller). Print quality was excellent (600dpi and a perfect drum) so I thought it’d be worth replacing the rollers.

The ONLY money I’ve EVER spent on that printer so far has been those pads. It’s STILL running on the original cartridge I’ve had in it since I got it, maybe 6 or 7 months ago. I haven’t even priced a replacement cartridge. Probably printed a couple hundred pages on it – not to mention its time in storage.

Anyone that doesn’t own a laser printer needs to rectify that situation immediately. Log in to see images!
