Reality is a series of perceptions based on sensory input and experiences. Because our sensory ability is limited, we do not get the entire Truth. Our experiences then attempt to make some kind of sense of what parts of the Truth we have received. That then skews our sensory input, warping it to conform with what we have taken to become the norm. That skewed, incomplete, and inherently flawed truth is then further dented, twisted, and crammed into the box of our personal beliefs and a sense of the supernatural.
In short, all senses of reality are warped, and thus while your statement is true, who are you to judge, he with an equally warped sense of reality?
