Let’s just bumume they bothered to make a server that was worth having/using. I know I wouldn’t use some crap I had laying around to host my site.

Hello? Hello, is anybody home? Think, McFly… think. Did you not notice that ThePlanet is a dedicated server provider? They provide the server WITH the service. There is no “building the server” involved. They take from a package deal. Even if they did, proper optimization of an old desktop computer could easily fill the position of the fwz server.

Yeah, they do, but they’d deserve more money if they take five seconds and find the points where they could be doing things cheaper, instead of throwing money at every problem and pbuming the cost along to us (i.e. overpriced commercial backup software that doesn’t even ****ing work properly).

Right, they pay next to nothing (especially Google), but much-larger sites like MySpace, and pretty much anywhere else you go on the internet, do it for completely free, just on advertising. Somehow they pull it off, why can’t fwz? Especially with such a small company and relatively low operating costs (contrary to your FUD OP).

And throughout all of your arguments you have yet to name a time that you hosted a game like this on your own free for everyone to use.

hostfile.org was running for 2 years for free, off donations alone (not even ads). It’s not a game, but it did serve a ****-ton of hits per second after it got going. Barely made a cent off the site, but it was able to run for at least 2 years without begging a single person for money.

Till then shut the **** up, or get the **** out.
