Hands shaking, fine upstanding member of society fires a few rounds into the skull. It moves blazingly fast, but dies even faster. A little underwhelmed, he looks around some more. Another lost soul appears and is quickly terminated, but then fine upstanding member of society runs across *another* new enemy:

Swapping to his combat shottie, he begins a fighting retreat, pumping and firing as he steps backwards. At first the pellets seem to serve only to enrage the lovable ball of muscle and teeth, but it drops dead at fine upstanding member of society’s feet before it can rend him apart. fine upstanding member of society soon encounters 2 more of these demons, but the knockback from the shotgun easily defeats their angry charges. fine upstanding member of society pauses. He can hear or see no more opponents. Made confident by his flawless victory, he is about to yell something obscene at the crowd when the announcer’s voice cuts in once more:

fine upstanding member of society is tempted to give a resounding “**** yeah”, but he considers that he doesn’t know what the next round holds, the enemies may be stronger… |
