I can ban people at my discretion. Should I feel somebody deserves a ban for something, I hit up banhammer or anyone else online to see what they think then take action. Nobody was online today so I went for what I thought was appropriate.

In hindsight 3 days is too much because he had no previous offenses and i’ll rectify that later.

I think that he broke the rules by making his site redirect ONLY for links from forumwarz. Turning a normally harmless link into a browser hijacker is the same if not worse as directly posting one.
