Am I not able to take Hacker clbum without losing my custom av? I tried selecting clbum through the link in this thread. No problem there, but then it asks me to pick an av. I tried just going to a different window, but it kept me as a re-re. Is there a way around this that I’m not seeing?

Same problem when I became a perma-noob, I had to use my free avatar change on it.
