It also took me closer to 100 hours to finish Nocturne. Mostly because I was pretty much hell-bent on completing the Demonic Compendium. I’m still upset that I went into the Tower of Kagatsuchi before finishing the Labyrinth of Amala, thus missing out on getting Pierce for my main character. Which is why I need to replay this. Seriously.

Also: I also dislike the Pokemon analogy. Mostly because the Megaten series came into being long before Pokemon did.

Anyway. On to my favourite game…

StarCraft

I’ll admit that this one largely remains at the top of my list due to nostalgia. But that doesn’t diminish my appreciation for it in any way.

This was the first game I played where the story really managed to draw me in and make me feel as if I was a part of it. It made me feel as if I were more than just a pbumive observer. And it ended up leaving quite an impression on my impressionable teenage mind.

What really extended this game’s lifespan for me was the multiplayer aspect. Countless hours were wasted and countless petty rivalries turned serious thanks to this game. And all of that because of my really bad habit of dark templar rushing one of my friends each time he decides to play Terran.
