What can happen, if there are lots of players with lots of scoops, all competing against each other, is that the ones who take an early lead, and have their maximum of 30 cards, either burn cards on other players to keep their scoops low, or leave themselves exposed, and then get bumholed. It does take alot of bumholes, and requires that some players in the bracket focus mainly on destruction. 500 scoops (if you achieved that) would be wasted, because players would naturally use their scoops to even the playing field, when they’ve also got that many spares. A klan raid tower wouldn’t be so hard to take down in an active, hostile bracket, I think. Most scoops near the start of the week would end up wasted.

The top bracket is an exception because we’re not attacking each other, and this is a legacy of the first half of this season (frankly I’ll be happy when the season is over) I’m not bothering to compete there at all – it’s just not interesting, and raids happen at awkward times for me anyway.
