It’s a pretty good suggestion but in the end it feels like the ones ending at 9pm EDT still have the upper hand.

I’m not sure, but I think he meant that you would be in a bracket with all people who chose the same time as you. Probably the only way to make this work and not be exploitable is to have maybe 5 or 6 set times you can choose from. I like this idea!
