Ok ok so the first idea was a pretty big failure because I was dumb, but then I remembered what I wanted a dropdown for and have a new idea.

Have the descriptions of forums be in an expandable div, and allow players to set whether or not they want to default to having descriptions hidden or visible when they go to the listing.

e: I think the best presentation would be to have a toggle switch ‘More Info’ kind of bumon. Click the little +/- bumon to expand and collapse.
