The Thing is smarter is why he won. Bruce Banner is smarter than Ben Grimm is but Thing is smarter than Hulk is.

So Thing is REALLY powerful.

Also Wolverine fought Hulk like four times and neither of them won.

They both just beat each other up a lot.
