Little Lola’s Lion licked her lollipop

She screamed and cried, and pulled and pried

But could not make him stop

Little Lola’s Lion just sat there like a rock

Lick, lick, licking

On Lola’s lollipop

Little Lola stopped trying

And called out to Bird

She went to Bird still crying

And asked to have a word

“Bird”, she said while snuffling

“Lions got my lollipop!”

“Well,” Bird said while shuffling

“I can’t make him stop!”

“I am just a Bird” he said

“And he is a lion after all

He’s got claws on his paws

A powerful maw

And teeth in his head!”

So Little Lola’s Lion licked her lollipop

She screamed and cried, and pulled and pried

But could not make him stop

Little Lola’s Lion just sat there like a rock

Lick, lick, licking

On Lola’s lollipop

Little Lola stopped trying

And called out to Snake

She went to Snake still crying

And he began to quake

“Snake” she said while blithering

“Lions got my lollipop!”

“Well,” said Snake while slithering

“I can’t make him stop!”

“I am just a snake” he begged

“And he is a lion after all

He’s got teeth like a saw

Lining his jaw

And four dangerous legs!”

So Little Lola’s Lion licked her lollipop

She screamed and cried, and pulled and pried

But could not make him stop

Little Lola’s Lion just sat there like a rock

Lick, lick, licking

On Lola’s lollipop

Lola yelled and hopped

As Lion sat there as a rock

“I want a lick, I want a lick!”

At last Lion stopped

Then Lion said to her

“What is it that you need?”

Lola’s shout raised his fur

“SHAMEFUL IS YOUR GREED”

“I WANT A LICK, I WANT A LICK!”

“I WANT A LICK, JUST ONE!”

“I’m sorry Little Lola but…

The lollipop is done.”
