Well, I might have phrased myself badly there. I was impressed in the way he shows ID as being chastised by a large segment of the scientific community, including prominent men like Dawkins, but that message is pretty much ruined by the way he conducts his interviews and the way that he condemns evolution while trying to preach “equal scientific freedom”.

I’ll agree most of the film is bull****, and that he tries more to promote creationism than ID. But he’s at least got people talking about the issue, which means he was successful in some measure.

Why shouldn’t ID be chastised? It’s not science. Not only is it inherently unscientific by invoking a supernatural power, but it can’t even specify what exactly it is. Not the designer, that is. But the theory boils down to this:

At some point a designer did some stuff. He made animals. Or maybe he made some cells. Thing is, he sure as hell did something.

And the point is, this does nothing for science. It doesn’t add to it in anyway. Science with intelligent design is the exact same thing as without.

Furthermore, those people who dared question evolution? Yeah, there’s a lot of bull**** in there.

Granted, it’s from what might be considered a biased source. but **** that **** fine upstanding member of society.

P.s. Intelligent Design is just an attempt to get religion in schools. The discovery institute admits that they believe the designer to be the Christian God.
