Now, I consider myself a fan offensive humor. That carlos mencia cracks me up. But then there are comedians like Sarah Silverman and Lenny Bruce, and they just take things too far.

Why should someone be offended just because someone else changed his avatar? As I said and everybody here has agreed to before starting to play, this game isn’t for the easily offended. Did you feel insulted because your avatar was changed to this fat guy? I don’t think so. Of course, there are limits. Take a look at this site. None of the new avatars here are offensive with one exception, Goldstrikes new one. But that nice piece of bum is also against the rules:

That’s part of the game, otherwise there wouldn’t be an feature to do that. What Tom did was an exploit outside of the game. And it’s not like he just pointed the bug out to ET. He abused it and messed with people. Shouldn’t it be obvious that you aren’t supposed to do that?

Anyways, the thing is, the way in which he ‘messed’ with people wasn’t a big deal. It’s a minor annoyance, and I’d say the good that Tom has done for this game far outweighs some people being temporarily left out of their klans.

THAT IS WRONG.

Someone paid money for that avatar, and they do not deserve for their money to be wasted. I understand that game’s subject matter is somewhat playful and trollish, but this is just bringing that jackbumery to a new level. It’s stepping out of the confines of roleplaying and affecting the player itself. That person donated money to have the avatar of their choice, and by giving them a ‘joke’ avatar to vent their frustration, that other person is essentially taking money away from that person. Because it forces them to pay more money for yet another avatar, and so on.

Look, I know the game has ‘troll’ clbumes and such, but can you guys just be mature keep roleplaying where it belongs? Log in to see images!

NANA, you totally had me. I can’t believe I fell for that. It was the Silverman stuff that tipped me.

Re: Silverman. The only thing that she hasn’t taken too far is Jimmy Kimmel’s male reproductive organ, but that’s not her fault. Jimmy’s male reproductive organ is only 1” long.

Regarding the current controversy: If the twisted panties exhibited in this thread are any indication of how important FW is to all of us, then a 48 hour ban is severe. I can picture poor PANTS and Tom right now, grasping their mice (and male reproductive organs) so hard you’d be afraid the plastic (or latex) will shatter. Knuckles turning white, sweating pouring off of their pale and clammy skin. Addiction is an ugly thing.

In game punishment, as Ama suggests, is totally appropriate. Please note: That Ama is correct doesn’t make him any less of a Log in to see images!
