If you do get Quake, remember to check the Steam forums for a way to enable the CD soundtrack. It’s an ambient soundtrack rather than a traditional music based one, but consider this: It was composed by Trent Reznor, and it adds immensely to the atmosphere.
As an aside, Episode 4 is ****ing weird. The way it screws with your perceptions is masterful. They don’t make games like this anymore. |

What was it called again? Realm of the Elder Gods? Something Lovecraftian. Quake was pretty good, still not sure why they didnt just make a new franchise with Quake 2, all it really shared with the first was sounds Log in to see images! |

Yeah, it was realm of the Elder Gods. As A side note, I killed Shub Niggurath for the first time today. Log in to see images!
As for the franchise, there was a Doom 3 mod that tried to recreate Quake’s style, but I could never get it to work.
