Sure I heard some complaining about the balls being used; that they were lighter or bouncier or played differently in some way or other. Any chance that’s what ****ed him over?
Or the altitude; they were 1500m up, the difference in air pressure might make a ball move differently from normal.

The ball hit him in both hands. He simply flubbed the shot.
Both teams played well, actually. The only goals were because of brief ‘errors’. First on the part of a US defender that misstepped, and gave Gerrard an ‘easy’ (relatively speaking) shot on the goal. The US goal was because Green made an error in timing. |

Usually goalkeepers use their body to bumist their hands in case something goes wrong. I guess the guy was inexperienced. |

Since I don’t follow football, I can’t really comment on the “Goals were scored only due to exploiting errors in the other teams defense” thing, but I always find that the very best gameplay in anything follows that pattern, in that both sides are so skilled that its more about exploiting mistakes than rushing in to try and win first. |
