I always thought it was tied to the date. This morn I hit up 7/11 (10 threads) and AWMIB (8 threads), but stopped at 4 visits since I had 8 saved up. I logged on to another PC an hour ago and AWMIB was at 7 threads, 7/11 at 9.

I thought it was every two.
And of course the change could randomly select the same number it did on the last iteration, so you might not notice.
And there are some forums which DO have a fixed number of threads. The wiki’s p. good about keeping track of the number of threads a forum can have. |

In the past, the thread numbers would change every time you enter a forum. ET thought this was being abused or something, then changed it so that the threads are randomly selected every hour instead of every time you enter a forum. |
