I’d like to say it’s a bad idea for such a small group to break into “tribes.” Your best chance of survival is to stay together. It’s really extremely unlikely that the little groups you want to break into would agree to going off alone in the groups you decided or would last for any length of time. No one has the know-how to survive in this time. You have a better pool of knowledge and a better chance of defense as nine. Also, you are making the problem of inbreeding worse. And bumuming your plan works and the tribes go on to flourish and start new nations, you have just started the war-like human history which led us to this point all over again.

A breeder with parenting potential; like Mrs. Franklin, can provide guidance for the younger women as well as bumist in raising the children that will inevitably be popping out of the other breeders.

5. Amy Youngston: English female, age 17, gothic personality. Raised Roman Catholic, converted to Atheism. Wants to be a clothing designer.

Young female; in essence, a breeder.

6. Juli Mohammed: Saudi female, age 16. American patriot; vegetarian. Practices Islam half-heartedly.

Can’t reproduce, but the group needs a medical professional.

With my group I attempted, first and foremost, to capitalize on good genes and a lack of history with drug use or other “risky” behaviors that could contribute to birth defects. After I narrowed down the field in that fashion, I further narrowed the selection to those with non-existent or moderate religious beliefs, because I have no interest in putting up with that sort of nonsense when it does eventually arise.

Hermann made the cut because he has valuable skills as a doctor. In addition there are 9 people total, and I wanted the most diverse gene pool possible while limiting the overall amount of quibbling over mates. Final tally is 4 virile males (myself included), 4 virile women, and 1 sterile male.

Once I got down to that point, I tried to ensure that the people with traits and occupations that seemed to suggest a level of high general intelligence remained. No matter what skills people bring into the bunker, we’re going to need to pick new skills up (and people will need to be able to learn skills from the others to make everyone’s job easier).

1) Mr. Franklin: Will die. Soon. Probably suicide. We killed his wife, and he can’t get any more cigs.

2) Mrs. Franklin: No, has had a very special child before, might be prone to in the future. We also need women for procreation, and I don’t think she’ll be willing to have more after we slaughter her husband.

3)Floyd Franklin: We don’t want more mentally handicapped children, but this guy might work out the best. We can train him to do useful grunt work, also a fondness of the military will aid in the new government. Will hopefully quickly get over the death of his parents.

4) James Vitrono: Divorced twice, no skill.

5)Hermann Huntington: Cold personality, sterile. PhD or not, someone should be able to put some herbs together and provide treatment until we can properly excavate the wreckage of our old civilization.

You guys do realize in the event of world annihilation that single-couple pairs are a really inefficient way to go about repopulating.

There’s a reason that multiple wives were allowed in the super-old days of the Bible, because it takes way, way fewer guys to populate than it does women.

Take the doctor and yourself, so that you could have someone making sure childbirth goes as well as possible, and then take all the women you can fit.
